High strength steel for induction hardening having excellent machinability



【課題】 鍛造上がりの硬さ上昇を最小限に抑え、被削性、冷間加工性を確保しながら、非硬化部の疲労強度、硬化部の耐転がり強度、耐ピッチング強度、耐摩耗性、疲労強度等を向上させた鋼材を提供する。 【解決手段】 質量%で、C:0.40%以上0.50%未満、Si:0.5〜0.9%、Mn:0.5〜1.0%、Cr:0.4%以下、S:0.035%以下、V:0.01〜0.15%を含有し、残部Feおよび不可避不純物からなり、鍛造後に部品の一部を高周波焼入れして使用する被削性に優れた高強度高周波焼入用鋼で、炭素当量:0.75≦C eq ≦0.90、被削性指数:a値≦を満足することを特徴とする高強度高周波焼入用鋼。 【選択図】 なし
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel in which the fatigue strength of the non-hardened part, and the rolling resisting strength, pitting resisting strength, wear resistance, fatigue strength or the like of the hardened part are improved while suppressing the increase in the hardness after forging to the minimum and securing its machinability and cold working property. SOLUTION: The high strength steel for induction hardening having excellent machinability has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.40 to <0.50% C, 0.5 to 0.9% Si, 0.5 to 1.0% Mn, ≤0.4% Cr, ≤0.035% S and 0.01 to 0.15% V, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and is used by subjecting a part of a component to induction hardening after its forging. The steel satisfies the carbon equivalent: 0.75≤C eq ≤0.90, and the machinability index: (a) value ≤0.62. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
