Abstract

【課題】車両用内燃機関において、バルブ特性可変機構の電動アクチュエータの良好な冷却性を確保したうえで、電動アクチュエータの配置の自由度を大きくし、しかも電動アクチュエータをシリンダヘッドにコンパクトに配置する。 【解決手段】車両に搭載された内燃機関の動弁装置は機関弁のバルブ作動特性を制御するバルブ特性可変機構を備え、バルブ特性可変機構の電動モータ80は、シリンダヘッド12により形成される動弁室外に配置される。シリンダヘッド12には、走行風が導かれる導風通路85が燃焼室と動弁室との間に形成され、電動モータ80は、シリンダ軸線L1の径方向で動弁室に隣接して、入口部85aから流入して導風通路85を流通した走行風が当たる位置に配置される。 【選択図】図9
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent cooling capability of an electric actuator of a valve characteristic variable mechanism and increase displacement flexibility of the electric actuator so that the electric actuator can be compactly disposed on a cylinder head in an internal combustion engine for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A valve device of the internal engine mounted on the vehicle is equipped with the valve characteristic variable mechanism controlling a valve operation characteristic of an engine valve. An electric motor 80 of the valve characteristic variable mechanism is constituted so as to be disposed outside of a valve chamber formed by the cylinder head 12. In the cylinder head 12, an air introduction passage 85 introducing travel wind is formed between a combustion chamber and a valve chamber, and the electric motor 80 is adjacent to the valve chamber in the radial direction of the cylinder axis line L1 and disposed at the position where the travel wind which flows in from an inlet part 85a and circulates through the air introduction passage 85 impinges.
